The Planning Program's "Annual Party" was great fun. It was at Norm Tyler's house on April 6th. If you missed it, you missed lots of conversation between students and alumni. You missed Andrea's warm brownies. You missed Robyn's dip. You missed Sukai's Champagne. (Sorry we forgot to open it, Sukai.) You missed Chad playing the piano, and Barry helping Norm get the Tbird started for the first time this year. |

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8-10, there was a national conference on New Urbanism. Noted speakers covered a lot of planning topics. EMU students were in attendance. Some of us got together at Amer's deli on Saturday to have lunch together. Shown to the left are Scott Woods, Krisztina Gerhardt and Steve Parks. Others who chowed down included Keith Edwards, Tracy Mullins, Norm Tyler, Robyn Gray and Allison Stupka. |

Graduate student Allison Stupka was honored recently by EMU's Office of Academic Service Learning. Four student projects were recognized at the special ceremony attended by President Kirkpatrick, the late Provost Collins, Dean Fish and many other campus notables.
Allison was recognized for her work with residents and city officials in Albion, Michigan, on a project called WebPolis. This demonstration project was developed as an online planning tool. Allison served as student facilitator for the Fall semester and continues to research the topic of online planning. Congratulations, Allison. |

Graduate student Tracy Mullins has agreed to coordinate this summers "Links to the Future" Golf Outing. The highly successful fund-raiser has been coordinated by Michelle Aniol during its first three years, and is now considered the year's big event by both students and alumni.
Tracy has also agreed to work with students at Wayne State University, who are hosting this fall's student planning conference.
