Chapter 3 Exercise:
New Town Design

The following is information that can be used for the New Town Design exercise, found on page 83 of the book, Planning and Community Development, (Tyler and Ward, 2011).

There are many ways to use this exercise with students. One approach might be to have the class, or small groups, development a conceptual layout using the approach of conducting a design charrette. Rivertownsim.com/2014 has a web site on Planning Charrettes.
